DIS 15th Anniversary Celebration

Our 15th Anniversary Party took place on Saturday, March 10th and was a great success! The special event was celebrated with founders and supporters from the very beginning of DIS in 1996, fantastic performances, and warm congratulatory words. Over 400 people came together to celebrate 15 successful years of DIS. What an amazing event!

The DIS orchestra, founded last school year, had their premiere during the formal opening event. Also the newly founded Dance Club (PYP students) had their first great performance. Both groups had never appeared on stage in front of such a big audience and they were fantastic! The youngest performer was Prisca Wöhler from grade 1 – a small girl playing such big notes! Grade 3 students performed the song “We are the World” passionately and accompanied by PYP staff members Sebastian Lindlar, Tamas Simon and Gisbert Böhler. The audience was thrilled! We are so proud of our "big" and "small" talents!

Tichina Vaughn and Anton Saris together with our teacher-parent-choir inspired the audience in the second part of the evening. We hope to see them again soon! The anniversary raffle, with many fantastic prizes, was the highlight of the evening. The proceeds from the raffle and the live auction of the last “Havekost Print” (over € 4.500,00) will benefit the construction of the handicraft lesson classrooms for grades 1 to 12. A few of raffle prizes have not been collected. Please see the attachment for the winning numbers. The prizes can be picked up at DIS Marketing Office (Annen Campus).

Remembering 15 Years DIS: 15th Anniversary Presentation by DIS student council

We would like to say “Thank you” to all of the hard working helpers – students, parents, teachers/staff members, sponsors, and supporters – they energetically aided us in the preparation and the implementation of this event. A big thank you goes to the sponsors of food and drinks. As a result we could provide our guests with delicious delicacies throughout the evening. A special thank you goes to Mr. Schneider from the restaurant “Baumwiese”. He supported us with the overall organization of the event.
We would like to say thank you to all prize sponsors. They provided amazing prizes available for the raffle and the support of our school project. We would like to thank our Tech and IT team too. The technology and CAS students did a super job! And last but not least we would like to say thank you to our hard working office bees – they step in again and again when help is needed!
