Why being an active PTA member:

• The PTA serves the school community and offers a perfect way to get involved and make a difference. Studies show that your kid will do better academically when you stay active and involved in her/his school life. Use this opportunity!
• Through a wide range of activities we endeavor to provide assistance to teachers and administration and in doing so, strive to further enrich the lives of our children.
• As fundraising is an important component of this assistance, we make our children’s school life more attractive. Fundraising allows us to supplement the resources available to the school which otherwise may not be available.
• Your active PTA contributes to the DIS community by organizing several key events throughout the school year. The Spring Festival which is the largest PTA fundraiser.
• Dedicated volunteers operate the DIS Shop.
• PTA work could be fun and fulfilling.

What can I do?

• Volunteer any little amount of time or special talents and skills you are able to offer will be much appreciated.
  Attend PTA meetings (one a month on Monday evening and/or Tuesday morning)
• Candidate for a PTA board position next school year
• All PTA meetings will take place at the Annen Campus - Conference Room or Community Room
