1st Global Dinner 2010

Silent Auction

On 13th March 2010 our Fundraising Association, the PTA and the school organized the 1st Global Dinner with a Silent Auction at the Quality Plaza Hotel Dresden. 160 guests who supported the school were successfully bidding on 60 prizes. In total we raised € 13.000 for the school. The money will be spent for integrative technology, e.g. interactive whiteboards.

We want to thank all families, friends and all sponsors and donors. In addition we want to thank the organization team and the volunteer helpers!

7th DIS Golf Tournament

On 12th September our Foerderverein organized the 7th DIS Golf Tournament for the benefit of our school at the Golf Course in Dresden-Ullersdorf. New recordf, 140 golfers and 20 beginners participated. For the first time the evening event was held at the Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais. More than 200 guests enjoyed the performances, the award show and the great food. We thank Camilla Nylund, Anton Saris, Jobs Schneiderat, Kate Olson, Kenta Kawaguchi & Qianhan Gong and Dannuo Fogelova with her KungFu Group.

We raised more than € 10.000 to finance Interactive Whiteboards. A special thank you goes to Bankhaus Lampe, our main sponsor. We also thank the other sponsos and all participants!

Spring Concert

Dido and Aeneas Performance

On 6th June 2008 our first Spring Concert supported by the Singakademie Dresden and professional artists took place at the Sports Hall. Conducted by Anton Saris the artists and the choir performed Henry Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas". The children's choir of the Singakademie performed the children's opera "Brundibar" inEnglish. As a suprise Anton Saris sang A Frank Sinatra song to say good bye to Geoff Clark, our leaving director.

Grand Opening Annen Campus

Opening Ceremony

On 9th April 2008 we celebrated our Grand Opening with approx. 300 guests in the sports hall. Everybody enjoyed the programme, especially the Grade 5 dance performance. The time capsule including a variety of publications and wishes from students from 5 continents was buried by Mayor Winfried Lehmann, teacher Dorothea Hoffmann and student Ron Schönberg at the playground. Afterwards Director Mr Clark, Dr Lueth and Mrs Orosz officially opened our Community Room. A special thank you goes to: Mrs Mizuno, Mrs Furuta, Mrs Washio, Mrs Nagato, Mrs Ohya, Mrs Yamakawa, Mrs Masamato, Mrs Kawaguchi, Mrs Takaki, Mrs Bray, Mrs Fogelova for creating the wonderful balloons. Thank you to all students, staff and families who have given their time to be involved.

Pre-Opening Annen Campus

Pre Opening 9.11.2007

On Friday, 9th November 2007 we celebrated our Pre-Opening of the Annen Campus in the new sports hall. More than 600 people enjoyed the performance of the English Youth Opera "Dido & Aneas" composed by Henry Purcell. Conducted by opera singer Anton Saris almost 200 students performed together with professional artists and musicians. The event was a big success, we raised more than € 4.600 for the benefit of the Annen Campus.
