DIS School Garden Project Team meeting

The winners of the first stage of the 8th Garden Competition of Saxony have been selected. The jury has chosen the 30 best proposals out of 43 school applications and the DIS project is among them! So we are assured a bonus of € 500. On May 11th and 12th, the 30 schools will present their projects at the castle “Siebeneichen” in Meißen. Ten schools in the semi-finals will be chosen to move on to the 2nd stage of the competition. Those will be visited by the jury members in September 2012. In May 2013, the 3 winners will be selected, with a € 2,500 prize each. 

All the projects are posted on the internet under www.schulgarten.sachsen.de. 

Background information: This competition has been taking place since 1993. So far more than 1,600 schools with more than 100,000 students have participated. Mr Karl Zwermann, president of the German Garden Fundraising Association 1822 is the patron. 

The school garden team hopes that the DIS project will be one of the best. Therefore, we appreciate your support in any way!
