How to Apply
Applications for admission will be accepted throughout the year based on the suitability of the school's educational program for the prospective student and the availability of places. Our admissions policy is non-discriminatory but the school does not have the facilities to serve the educational needs of students who have significant mental, emotional or physical handicaps or who have significant learning difficulties.
Students may be admitted provisionally, particularly when there has been a delay in receiving records from a previous school or if there is uncertainty about whether the placement will succeed.
For admission we need:
- Complete application forms signed by parents
- Health Information Sheet
- Photo Release Form
- Language survey (grade 1+)
- Bring your own device responsibilities (grade 4+)
- Computer and IT Use Policy (grade 4+)
- All report cards of at least the last two years (Grade 2-10)
- Parent questionnaire (grade 6+)
- Application to Fundraising Association
- Certificates and other important references
From local students applying Grade 8 or above we require an English essay.
All applicants have to sit in an interview with parents and principal upon enrollment at DIS followed by internal placement tests in Math, English and German, and logical thinking.
Based on availability, report cards evaluation, interview, and placement tests' results, we will finalize our decision for entry at the Dresden International School.
No applications will be decided upon until an analysis of the marks has been completed. A trial period of at least 10 days may be determined. Based on availability, report cards evaluation, interview, and placement tests' results, we will finalise our decision for entry at the Dresden International School.
Interested parents are invited to contact us any time so that we can provide advice, assistance or answers to questions and arrange visits.
