On 7 and 8 May 2022, the first DIS Debating Tournament took place to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our school. Twelve teams with more than 60 students participated from Germany and the Czech Republic. We welcomed teams from the Berlin Brandenburg International School, Frankfurt International School, Marie-Curie-Gymnasium Dresden and from Czech Schools. Over two days, teams debated prepared and impromptu motions. In the end, the team "Czech White" won first place, "the Purple Monkeys" from Berlin Brandenburg International School came in second, followed by "Czech Blue." We are thrilled that our Junior teams from grades 9 and 10 ranked fifth and sixth place after tackling complex issues with substantive arguments and rebuttals. A special thank you goes to our Secondary School teacher Ms. Marin-Drews for organizing the tournament and to all helpers for supporting the two day event.
