At the end of this school year, our Physical Education teacher René Fest (Preschool & Primary School) was honored with the Christa Peterson International Teacher Award. This monetary award was established in 2012 in recognition of Ms. Christa Peterson, Dresden International School’s Board Chair from 1996-2011 and founding member of DIS. The award recognizes faculty who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in strengthening our school’s international-mindedness in such areas as effective instruction, curriculum development, resource management, sustainable professional and self-development, parental involvement, and local as well as international community outreach. René has also been very involved in assisting and advising the school in implementing hygiene procedures this school year.
