Middle Years Programme
The Middle Years Programme flows naturally from the PYP. Students in grades 6 to 10 at DIS follow a complete, coherent and challenging academic program. Emphasis is laid on developing the life skills appropriate to this age group.
The MYP curriculum focuses on conceptual learning, as well as interdisciplinary study. It is a holistic program where students are encouraged to develop an intercultural understanding. The Service as Action component in units as well as the community ans service program outside of school shows that all MYP students need to be responsible citizens in our world.
At the end of year 10, the students should be fully prepared for the rigours of their next step in senior high school, the Diploma Programme. In Grade 11 and 12 students follow the Diploma Programme.
