Swimming has always been an important aspect of our PHE curriculum, valued by both, students and parents. After listening to a report from the DLRG (German Life Saving Association) which announced a shockingly high number of non-swimmers at the end of primary school in Germany, we felt the obligation to do something.
We hope with this initiative, we can inspire young students to become safe swimmers which are aware of important safety aspects in the water. We hope that those students give back to the community by spreading the importance of some safety rules, by acting safely in swimming pools, close to rivers, lakes, and seas and by watching out for others.
