Here at Dresden International School, our students experience a multitude of festive celebrations. On February 1 we celebrated the Lunar New Year. It is an important annual event for many countries in Asia, and this festival is celebrated globally. Each year is represented by an animal, and 2022 is the year of the Tiger. Students in our Middle Years Program participated in lantern making and folding red envelopes that signify good luck. The celebrations have focused not only on creative activities but also on educating students about the culture and traditions. This event is an excellent opportunity to embrace and celebrate different cultures in our international community. Special gratitude to our Event Club and our Student Wellbeing-Coordinator organizing such a fun and festive event. Thank you to all students and teachers who helped with set up and logistics of the event and to all families who donated decoration and fortune cookies. Happy Lunar Year!
